Alicante

Alicante, a city full of history, culture and legendary nightlife, is truly one of the most important tourist destinations on Spain's east coast. Located in the center of the Costa Blanca, there is something for everyone. For many travelers, the long, sandy beaches are the main temptation, but Alicante's many charms include its old town, art collections, history, fine dining, nightlife and bonfires. Numerous golf courses, along with the calm waters of the Mediterranean Sea, are part of the appeal of this beautiful port city. Alicante is a year-round holiday city, with warm Mediterranean summers, mild winters and very little rainfall. If you want a beach holiday, we suggest Alicante in the summer months, but if you want to avoid the crowds, visit outside the summer holidays and book for May or September when the maximum temperatures can still reach 28 degrees. In the city center there are several beautiful green areas to enjoy, including a park Canalejas. El Palmeral, located on the coast along the Murcia road, Lo Morant, which includes a hall where you can enjoy concerts and El Benacantil, with its extensive pine groves, located on the slopes of Santa Bárbara Castle. Alicante has a large list of attractions suitable for everyone, including the intriguing island of Tabarca located just off the coast. Alicante is known for its magnificent boulevards lined with palm trees and shopping streets. The original name of the city "Lucentum" translates as "City of Light".
